Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental clinic environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Assist in the documentation of patient medical records and maintain accurate records using Eaglesoft software.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient appointments.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including assisting with various procedures as needed.
Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental hygiene practices, particularly in pediatric care.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental clinic.
Skills
Proficiency in general dentistry practices and assisting techniques.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft software for managing patient records.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience in pediatrics is a plus, enhancing our ability to cater to younger patients.
Excellent organizational skills for effective documentation review and record keeping.
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages.
