Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of the dental clinic. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and hygiene practices while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Assist in the documentation review and maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care and support during procedures.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding related to dental practices.
Experience with patient care in a clinical setting is preferred.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate documentation and patient records.

Expected hours: 18 per week
