Position Summary
Skilled and compassionate treatment planning, bedside manner, and scientifically backed surgical and preventative treatment: a general dentist at Franklin Dental Care and Dentures is a leader and a teacher in the community as much as they are a provider of services.
There will be very little time to sit and take breaks as we are often very busy and there are constantly new things to learn. A general dentist will be expected to see anywhere from 10-15 patients a day from 8:30am-4pm. 15 minute breaks are taken when possible.
A good grasp of restorative, prosthetic, and surgical procedures is required as you will be seeing patients with varying needs and different backgrounds. Most of our patients are on medicaid and/or are recovering addicts in need of compassion and strategy to get their life and health back on track. Thus, it is paramount that a general dentist at Franklin Dental Care and Dentures has the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of backgrounds and read personalities through a mastery of motivational interviewing.
As a community leader and someone invested in the success of the team: the general dentist should be aware of all the operations in the front and back of the office as well as the financial statements and involvement in the creation of media/marketing for the practice. Salary and Compensation: Starting at $1000/day

Work-Life Balance: Work schedule is from 8:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday. Saturdays optional currently.

Franklin Dental Care and Dentures is a small practice (4 operatories) located in the city of Franklin on 314 South River Street. We pride ourselves on being one of the largest providers for medicaid patients in western Ohio. We mostly take Caresource and other plans associated with DentaQuest as well as cash patients.

Objectives
Exemplify what it means to be a Doctor in latin: Teacher
Use knowledge and skills to educate patients on preventive oral health practices
Skilled and ethical execution of: extractions, restorative procedures, prosthetics (crown/bridge/complete and partial dentures), root canals, hygiene, whitening, surgeries, and any other procedures you are competent in
Write complete and professional clinical notes
Treatment plan and diagnose accurately based on your experience, scientific evidence, and without ethical conflict with the rules of the practice
Understand fee schedules and importance of generating revenue to provide for the business and all that work within it
Efficient use of supplies and vigilance of remaining inventory working proactively with assistants and the office manager
Train dental assistants on in-opertory mindset and efficiencies
Understand the roles and responsibilities of each position in the office
Attend all required meetings and filling out all necessary paperwork including Personal, Professional, Financial Goals sheet (PPF), attending and being prepared for all 1-on-1 meetings, as well as attending All-Teams meetings
Treating patients in a timely and efficient manner to not slow down the flow of the office
Communicate compassionately and professionally in the office and during meetings
Put patient and customer service as highest priority next to morale and culture of the office
Consistently find ways and train to improve clinical and social skill set in/out of the office
Become a member and pillar of the community by showing up at local events and being friendly with other business owners/residents
Network with other dentists and helping to build lasting partnerships built on trust and accountability
Creating social media content to help patients understand personalities, culture, procedures, and current operations

DDS or DMD earned from a US accredited school
Have practiced dentistry consistently with no longer than 6 month break since acquiring license
Ohio Medicaid Licensing working with underserved populations
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand/walk for at least 4 hours without break
Ability to bend down and have steady hands to pick up objects that are 1mm wide
Must be able to see small physical details to see objects that are 1mm wide
Prolonged periods of sitting for at least 2 hours
