Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and skilled Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing dental conditions while providing exceptional care to patients. The Dentist will work closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff to ensure a positive patient experience and maintain high standards of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Bilingual in Korean or Chinese a must!

Examine patients' teeth, gums, and oral tissues to assess overall dental health.
Diagnose dental conditions, including cavities, gum disease, and oral infections, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Perform dental procedures such as fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, and other restorative and preventative care treatments.
Provide oral cancer screenings and diagnostic services, including X-rays, to detect abnormalities.
Administer local anesthesia or sedation for patient comfort during procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, diet, and preventive care practices.
Provide teeth cleaning and fluoride treatments as needed.
Create and follow up on individualized preventive care plans for patients, especially for those with chronic conditions or risk factors.
Perform minor and complex surgical procedures such as extractions, gum surgery, and dental implant placements.
Follow post-operative care instructions, monitor patient recovery, and manage complications when necessary.
Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health, treatment options, and costs.
Provide clear instructions regarding post-treatment care and preventative measures.
Address patient concerns and answer questions related to dental treatments, procedures, and oral health.
Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and front office staff to coordinate patient care.
Supervise and train dental assistants and other team members, ensuring all clinical activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes, medical history, and billing information.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant patient privacy regulations.

Educational Requirements, Qualifications, and Trainings

Minimum 3 years of Clinical Experience
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
Valid dental license to practice in New Jersey.
Strong knowledge of dental treatments, surgical procedures, and preventive care.
Excellent bedside manner with a focus on patient comfort and education.
Ability to use dental instruments, X-ray machines, and digital dental technologies.

Computer and Software Requirements

Microsoft Office 365; Teams; Visio; and Dentrix Ascend preferred.
Working knowledge of ADP and WFN a plus.
Ability to operate media equipment such as tablets, smartphones, and other electronic equipment
Ability to work with general office equipment
Ability to work with and understand databases a must and the ability to learn technical skills

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Shall have essential physical skills; be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 50 pounds (or ¼ of body weight).
Shall have adequate vision, reading, writing, documentation skills and hearing required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Must have enough endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
