Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures including but not limited to restorative dentistry, Implant surgeries, Full mouth rehabilitation, Veneers and smile design. ensuring patient comfort and safety.- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.- Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing correspondence.
Requirements
- Registered Dental assistant License.
-Radiology Certificate.
- CPR certificate.
-Infection Control training.- Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.- Knowledge of Dental terminology and familiarity with Dental coding is advantageous.- Proficiency in Dental imaging techniques is a plus.- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment skills.- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict aseptic techniques.- Certification in dental assisting or completion of an accredited dental assistant program is preferred but not mandatory.
