We are currently hiring a Dental Assistant II based in Worcester. To assist and collaborate with dental providers in the delivery of dental care and to perform a variety of clinical and clerical tasks under the supervision of the dental providers, applying the principles of aseptic techniques and infection control. The Dental Assistant II is described as experienced in the field, usually accompanied by more than one year of experience in chair side assisting and possessing radiology certification and CPR certification. The Dental Assistant II will be expected to have a comprehensive framework of experience.

Essential Functions:
Confirms patient identity for dental appointments/procedures.
Expertly captures and processes high-quality radiographs, including panoramic views.
Prepares dental treatment rooms, selecting instruments and materials with minimal prompting, adhering to infection control protocols.
Processes instruments, ensuring proper disinfection, sterilization, and monitoring of sterilization dates.
Thoroughly understands and logs the sterilization process, including spore testing and recording results.
Sets up, uses, and maintains dental equipment per manufacturer guidelines and department schedules.
Maintains dental office equipment logs and participates in scheduled maintenance.
Position may require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts on a rotating basis.
Education and Experience
High School diploma
Has updated documentation and certification for:
CPR
Radiology certificate
OSHA/Infection control training
MA state dental assistant license
Has met all continuing education requirements for dental licensure.
One year plus of dental assisting experience
