Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Although experience is preferred we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
Perform medical imaging as needed, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain infection control standards by following established aseptic techniques and cleaning protocols.
Document patient medical histories accurately and maintain organized medical records.
Support patients with care and comfort during their visits, ensuring a positive experience.
Manage four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Utilize Open Dental software for patient scheduling, record management, and billing processes.
Provide assistance with general dentistry tasks, including fillings, crowns, and extractions.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-operative care instructions.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a welcoming environment for all patients.
Skills

Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment.
Experience with four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care.
Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
Experience using Open Dental or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Understanding of general dentistry procedures and practices.
Ability to communicate medical terminology clearly to patients and team members.
Previous experience as a dental assistant is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 ââ¬â 40 per week
