Job Description

Luminous Dentistry is seeking a determined, compassionate, organized, and reliable individual and/or Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our dental team in a busy, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, and committed to helping our patients feel comfortable and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining a sterile field.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed and ensure proper handling and storage of images.
Manage lab cases and training will be provided in the digital dentistry area. For example: CBCT and digital scanner, Digital milling and 3D printing.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and the treatment area between patients.
Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene, and prevention of dental issues.
Schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and manage patient records in OpenDental, a dental software system.
Handle administrative duties such as processing patient billing, insurance claims, and answering phones.
Maintain an organized and clean clinical environment, following strict infection control and safety protocols.
Stock and inventory dental supplies and materials as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
Current dental radiography certification (if required by state law).
Experience as a dental assistant preferred but not required—entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and team members.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of dental software and office procedures is a plus.

Compensation:

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
Benefits package includes earned paid time off, dental coverage, and health and eye insurance after one year.

Schedule:

Full-time & part-time positions, Monday through Friday, with potential for occasional Saturday hours depending on the patients' availability.
