Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with legal standards.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required and radiology certified.
Familiarity with Dentrix, general dentistry practices, and dental assisting techniques are essential.
Experience with dental documentation and understanding of HIPAA regulations is required.
