Responsibilities
As a Dental Assistant, your role will involve a mix of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and outstanding patient experiences:
Chairside Assistance: Aid the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning fluids, and taking digital X-rays and scans.
Treatment Room Preparation: Set up treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and ensure materials and equipment are ready.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments, monitor vital signs, provide postoperative instructions, and deliver compassionate support throughout procedures.
Oral Hygiene Education: Teach patients proper brushing, flossing, and rinsing techniques for maintaining oral health.
Sterilization and Maintenance: Clean and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to safety standards.
Patient Records Management: Document treatments, update digital patient files, and assist in treatment planning.
Scheduling: Manage appointments to maintain efficient practice operations.
Patient Education: Explain procedures clearly and address any patient concerns or questions.
Administrative Tasks: Answer phones, manage inventory, and order supplies as needed.
Requirements
To excel in this role, youââ¬â¢ll need:
Certification or associate degree from an accredited dental assisting program.
Dental X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with computer systems and software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A consistently professional appearance and demeanor.
A patient-focused approach and a commitment to providing excellent care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
Experience:
Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
Broomall, PA 19008 (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
