Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Formal Training or DANB Certification is preferred
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through effective four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for use.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ability to complete coronal polishing, sealants, SDF
Experience and/or willingness to learn orthodontic assisting
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Completing of formal CDA training program or DANB certification
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure patient safety.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and team members alike.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
