Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, patient care, and administrative support to facilitate the smooth operation of the dental office.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Support various dental specialties, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Skills
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray procedures.
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software is desirable but not necessary.
Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
Attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping.
