Job Summary:Southern Oregon Dental is expanding its team! We are a privately owned practice and see patients 6 days a week. Currently we are looking for two dental assistant to join us.. The ideal candidates will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care. Experience and an x-ray license are required and EFDA certification is preferred. All qualified candidates will be considered.
Employment Options:
*Full time position-choice of Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
*Part time position-choice of Thursday-Saturday or Monday, Thursday, Friday
Duties:
-Assist with opening and closing procedures- Prepare patients for dental procedures- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare- Take dental X-rays- Maintain accurate patient records
-Communicate effectively and clearly with patients regarding treatment plans and options
Requirements:
- Ability to assist with X-Rays- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods- Understanding of health & safety regulations- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to perform basic computer tasks- Certification in Dental Assisting is a plus
Skills:- Proficiency in infection control procedures- Familiarity with medical records management- Experience as a Dental Receptionist is advantageous- Understanding of HIPAA regulations- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures- Familiarity with dental terminology
Our office is open Monday-Saturday and we are looking for both a full-time assistant and part time assistant. We see patients between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5pm on Fridays, and 9am-2pm on Saturdays. Assistant working hours typically start 30 minutes prior to opening to set up operatories and sterilization room and end once all closing procedures are complete. The office is closed the first Saturday of each month.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
