Now Hiring: Full-Time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)Location: Downtown Portland, OR
We are a busy, well-established general dental office in the heart of Downtown Portland, looking for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our friendly team! Position Details:
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $40/hr or DOE + Benefits
Immediate Hiring
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Manage patient flow and ensure smooth operation of the clinic
Assist the dentist with a variety of restorative and surgical procedures.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms, and ensure proper flow of sterilization room and spore testing.
Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and maintain patient records.
Prepare dental materials for fillings, impressions, and other procedures.
Provide patient education on post-procedure care and dental hygiene
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed EFDA in the state of Oregon, and x-ray certified.
Organized, and strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Experience in a fast-paced dental environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting with a positive attitude.
