About Us:Newton Dental Associates, the area's premier multi-specialty group practice, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our award-winning team. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant, you will primarily support our periodontist with various dental surgeries and procedures. This role is ideal for a candidate with excellent organizational skills, a passion for patient care, and an eagerness to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the periodontist during periodontal and surgical procedures.
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and treatment rooms.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Manage sterilization processes and adhere to infection control protocols.
Document treatment information in patient records accurately.
Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices.
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Assistant or equivalent training.
Experience assisting with dental surgeries (preferred but not required).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Familiarity with dental software is a plus.
