Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing X-ray examinations, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of medical documentation. This role is crucial in supporting our dental clinic's operations, particularly in the fields of pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics. The X-ray Technician will work closely with dental assistants and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Duties

Perform X-ray imaging procedures on patients, ensuring accurate positioning and exposure settings.
Maintain and operate radiographic equipment in compliance with safety standards.
Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Document all procedures accurately in the medical records using systems such as Dentrix.
Assist in four-handed dentistry practices by collaborating with dental assistants during procedures.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and advancements in radiology.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the X-ray area, adhering to clinic protocols.

Qualifications

Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist is required.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, particularly with pediatric patients.
Knowledge of medical documentation systems, specifically Dentrix, is a plus.
Familiarity with infection control practices within a healthcare environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Previous experience in prosthodontics or four-handed dentistry is advantageous.
A compassionate approach towards patient care, especially when working with children.
