Job Description
Job OverviewCalifornia dept of Corrections is seeking a skilled and compassionate Contract Dentist for full time work 5 x8h/week at Susanville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. This role requires a drug test and a background check, and a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Conduct various dental procedures, including dental extractions, restorations, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software for patient management and record keeping.
Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental office.
Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and preventive measures.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff to provide seamless patient care.
Skills
Proficient in using dental software systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance.
In-depth understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental health.
Expertise in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Experience in performing dental extractions and other general dentistry procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: Up to $282,880.00 per year
