Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the clinical team by ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to helping maintain smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable and prepared for their appointments.
Instrument Sterilization: Sterilize and prepare instrument trays for dental hygiene and dental procedures, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
X-Ray Imaging: Take and process dental x-rays as directed by the dental team. (Radiation certification is required.)
Room Setup and Breakdown: Set up treatment rooms before procedures and break them down afterward, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with infection control standards.
Team Support: Assist with additional duties on the clinic floor as needed, ensuring a seamless workflow for the team.
Qualifications:
Certification: Radiation certification is required.
Experience: Previous experience in a dental or medical setting is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 28 per week
