Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared in advance.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, impressions, and applying fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications effectively.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment for patients, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
Familiarity with dental assisting systems such as Epic is a plus.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and terminology is essential.
Understanding of infection control measures within a clinical setting is required.
Experience working with pediatric patients is an advantage but not necessary for all applicants.
