Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area by ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage sterilization of instruments and adhere to aseptic techniques.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by engaging with young patients in a friendly manner.
Assist in prosthodontics and endodontics procedures as required.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical records management and dental terminology is essential.
Proficiency in taking medical imaging and X-ray procedures.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is desirable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients and staff.
