Job DescriptionOur modern dental office located at Reston, VA is looking for a Full time licensed dental hygienist to join our team! We are a well-established, general dental practice with an excellent reputation in our community. Our patients recognize about our gentle, thorough and conservative approach to their dental care and the fabulous team dynamic we possess.A successful candidate will possess a cheerful, friendly, and professional demeanor with the ability to put patients at ease. You must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a team environment. You must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable discussing periodontal and other oral health conditions as well as be knowledgeable and confident in explaining dental treatment recommendations.In addition, there are huge opportunities for advancement for everyone on our team & because of our unique Bonus incentive system & promotion program for our hygine team members. With our Bonus Incentive program, our average dental hygienist generate between $65 to $77 an hour, depend on individual performance. Qualifications

Current license to practice dental hygiene in Virginia
Up-to-date CPR certification
Local Anesthesia preferred
Experience working with (Dentrix preferred)
Excellent communication skills
Enthusiastic team-player

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accurate patient records.
Assist in infection control procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Maintain knowledge of dental terminology and clinic systems, including Dentrix software.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.

Skills

Proficiency in infection control protocols and practices.
Experience with four-handed dentistry to streamline procedures.
Strong ability to conduct documentation reviews accurately.
Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to clinical practice.
Knowledge of clinic systems, particularly Dentrix, for effective patient management.
Experience assisting in various dental procedures, including pediatrics and pediatric dentistry.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
