Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Pediatric Dental Hygienist who loves working with children and is passionate about helping little smiles shine! This position is part-time or full-time (4 days a week) opportunity in a welcoming, modern office environment.
Must have active Hygiene license in PA, X-ray license, and Child Abuse Clearance.
Must be high energy, reliable and well-organized with great attention to detail, but above all must be FRIENDLY. You must be comfortable working in a very high paced environment. Excellent communication and listening skills are required to not only ensure a positive patient experience, but also to cultivate collaboration among co-workers.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, and oral health education to pediatric patients.
Create a fun, comforting atmosphere to ease dental anxiety for children.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a general dentistry setting.
Stay updated on the latest developments in pediatric dentistry and dental assisting practices.
Experience
Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with OpenDental or similar dental software is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential.
Experience in dental assisting or related fields will be considered an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children and their guardians, ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
