OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental clinic. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining efficient office procedures.
Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
Schedule and confirm appointments using medical scheduling systems.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review.
Handle phone inquiries, including appointment requests and general questions about dental services.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Utilize Athenahealth software for patient management and scheduling tasks.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including 10 key typing for data entry.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in medical scheduling and familiarity with dental terminology.
Experience working in a dental clinic or as a medical receptionist is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to operate various office systems and software, including Athenahealth.
Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Knowledge of front desk operations within a healthcare setting.
