Dental Hygienists are one of the most integral parts of our dental office! They are the first clinical interaction with patients and are responsible for making them feel comfortable. At Alpharetta Dental Care, hygienists do much more than clean teeth: they calm patients, they co-diagnose, they teach, they love making people happy and healthy.
Responsibilities

Educate patients on dental procedures and their current dental conditions
Identify conditions such as gingivitis and periodontitis
Take intra-oral photos and digital x-rays
Perform prophy’s and SRP’s
Give homecare instructions to patients
Assist the dentist with selecting suitable treatments for various diseases
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

Qualifications

Registered Dental Hygienist
Proficiency in chairside assisting and dental terminology
Strong patient care and assessment skills
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and HIPAA regulations
Experience with medical records and aseptic techniques
Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus
Detail-oriented with expertise in medical coding and documentation review

Compensation: Hourly
Salary adjustments, whether up or down, are solely based on the candidate’s experience and knowledge.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
