Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, performing preventive dental procedures, and ensuring that patients feel comfortable during their visits. Your expertise in dental hygiene practices and patient assessment will be essential in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document all treatments performed in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, patient records management, and treatment planning.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Provide care tailored to pediatric patients with an understanding of their unique needs.
Stay updated on the latest dental technologies and best practices to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and preventive dental care practices.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with medical records management systems.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients of all ages.
