Job Description
Looking for not just any Dental Hygienist but the right fit for our amazing team we've built. We are a very organized office and detail oriented to make you day extremely smooth in our low stress, calm, friendly environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing preventive dental care and educating patients on oral hygiene. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing dental therapy, taking radiographs, and providing patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques including risk assessment based care. In addition, the Dental Hygienist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of patient visits and ensuring that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained. Opportunities available for either part time or full time.
Responsibilities:
Provide preventive dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth, taking x-rays, and providing fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including CAMBRA.
Perform oral health screenings and provide patient education.
Assist dentists in providing treatment and procedures.
Maintain patient records and prepare charts for dental visits.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of dentistry.
Single column hygiene is required to take their own xrays, turnover their room and sterilize their instruments.
Skills:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role (recent graduates)
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession.
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
Outstanding communication skills.
A patient and friendly personality.
Attention to detail.
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job.
Requirements:
Valid Washington State Registered Dental Hygienist license.
Previous hygiene experience preferred but not required: recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships in a team-focused environment.
Staying current on continuing education requirements.
