Role description: This is a part-time on-site role for a Dental Secretary at Mint Dental Care in Plattsburgh, NY. The Dental Secretary will be responsible for clerical tasks, communication with patients and staff, providing excellent customer service, assisting with dentistry-related administrative duties, and participating in training sessions.
## Duties
- Greet patients and check them in
- Answer the phone, schedule patients and confirm appointments
- Check patients out, discuss treatment plans, billing and insurance claims
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
## Requirements
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in OpenDental (not required)
- Experience with medical coding and billing
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties
- Previous work experience in a dental clinic is preferred
