Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Support pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and prosthodontics procedures as required.
Skills
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and procedures.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices.
Proficient in medical documentation processes.
Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry techniques is a plus.
Understanding of general dentistry practices and prosthodontics is beneficial.
Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and team members effectively.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
