Job Description
We are seeking not only a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice but someone whom fits into our team with a warm, friendly personality and excellent chairside manner whom is a supportive team player. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, support the hygiene team as needed, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment, all while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Additionally, your knowledge of CAMBRA protocols will contribute to patient education and care.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including endodontics and other treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready and sterilized.
Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and staff.
Document medical histories and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and digital xrays as needed for imaging purposes.
Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene practices including CAMBRA protocols.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient experience and satisfaction.
Prepare lab cases/lab slips accurately.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with active license.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records is advantageous.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to take accurate vital signs and document medical information effectively.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Flexibility to support the team including hygiene as needed.
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 8am - 5pm
