Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients about oral health.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy.
Conduct patient assessments including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in four-handed dentistry by supporting the dentist during procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
Familiarize with Open Dental and Curve software for patient management and documentation.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including coding when necessary
Strong understanding of general dentistry principles and procedures.

Qualifications
Valid dental hygiene license
Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care
Strong understanding of dental terminology and general dentistry practices
Experience with patient assessment and maintaining medical records
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with dental teams
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
