Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry tasks and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take X-rays.
Utilize 3D scanners for accurate imaging and documentation of patient conditions.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Document patient information accurately in medical records, including medical coding when applicable.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Familiarity with infection control standards in a clinical setting.
Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic is preferred.
Proficiency in medical documentation practices.
Previous experience in a dental assistant role is highly desirable, particularly in general dentistry settings.
