OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, particularly in a general dental setting. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in the patient management systems.
Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on missed visits, when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is a MUST; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and systems such as OPEN DENTAL is advantageous.
Ability to take vital signs and understand medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all patients and team members in a friendly manner.
