JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dental Assistant will be responsible for working alongside the dentist and office manager to make the office more efficient and pleasant for patients. An ideal candidate will ensure excellent customer service and complete administrative and basic dental tasks under the direction of the dentist. A Dental Assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail, keen on following instructions and skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, standards, or OSHA compliance
Identify the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
Prepare the patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, or assist the dentist during dental procedures.
Schedule appointments, prepare bills and receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain records, manually or using a computer
Work closely with all in-house and outside dental laboratories; prepare patientsââ¬â¢ cases, ensure they are shipped out and delivered back in a very timely fashion
Make outgoing phone calls to patients to follow up on their service, answer any questions, and ultimately ensure they are completely satisfied and retained
Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory.
Record treatment information in patient records, record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to prepare medical instruments or equipment for use
Basic understanding of dental procedures and systems
Proficient problem-solving aptitude and ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
GED or High School Diploma required; Dental Assistant Certification, or BS in Business (Preferred)
Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience preferred
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
Must be able to lift at least 25lbs
Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE
