Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their oral health and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, as well as the ability to perform various dental procedures in a safe and effective manner. The Dentist will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality patient care while adhering to all health regulations and standards.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
Perform a variety of dental procedures including cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canals.
Administer local anesthesia and manage patient pain during procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
Experience in general dentistry; proficiency in pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics is preferred.
Ability to perform dental extractions and fabrication of dental appliances.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus but not mandatory.
