Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with an active X-Ray license to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records including timeliness of charting and lab case management.
Assist with appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
Proficiency in using dental software such as SoftDent.
Documentation and record management.
Knowledge of dental coding and procedures is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
Able to multi-task and work in a busy environment.

Pay: $21.50 - $23.22 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
