Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. This position requires knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Take and develop dental x-rays - Maintain patient records and update medical history - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims processing Skills: - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficiency in taking and developing dental x-rays - Familiarity with dental systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or CAD - Experience in medical coding and billing - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is an asset We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
