Registered Dental Assistant - Luna Dental - Toms River, NJ

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and provide excellent patient care.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize dental instruments
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Instruct patients on proper dental hygiene and postoperative care
- Take and develop X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding HIPAA and infection control
- Takes initiative in position
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in medical imaging and X-Ray procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Experience in dental assisting systems
- Familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
- Ability to provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols
