Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to assist in various dental procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit, including medical history and treatment plans.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and check-out processes as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments.
Support the front office with administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing patient inquiries when required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred.
Knowledge of endodontics, medical records management, and medical documentation is advantageous.
Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology is essential.
Proficient in using dental systems and software for patient management.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
