Job Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools, equipment, and support.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment to ensure a safe environment.
Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
Educate and communicate with patients and their families about proper dental hygiene and treatment options.
Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable and at ease.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental software.
Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
Assist with scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
Manage dental office inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) preferred.
X-ray certification in the state of Florida required.
Prior experience as a dental assistant is preferred, especially in pediatric dentistry.
Excellent communication skills with children and parents.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organization.
Strong team player with a compassionate and caring demeanor.
