Job Description
The School of Dental Medicine seeks Research Dental Assistants for our UB Dental S-Miles To Go Program to provide dental care to vulnerable populations through two state-of-the-art mobile dental units. Our mobile vans increase access to critical oral health care services for children in rural communities, parents and children living on Buffaloââ¬â¢s East Side, low-income older adults, homeless individuals and people with disabilities. As a Research Dental Assistant, you will:
Serve as chair-side assistant to licensed dental practitioners, and dental students (pre-doctoral, post graduate and residents) in examination and treatment of patients in all phases of dentistry.
Obtain and replenish supplies, filing and setting up operatories for all necessary procedures.
Assist in regulatory compliance and keep abreast of new developments, techniques and materials as they come about, and insure adherence to proper infection control protocol.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree with 1 year experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited program in Dental Assisting with 1 year of experience in Dental Assisting.
Prior experience working in clinical research studies
DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
CPR Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider)
Strong phone skills
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Axium and RedCap
Physical Demands
This position requires standing for long periods
Using hands or fingers to manipulate or handle
Regularly walking between offices/operatories
Reaching with hands or arms.
Salary Range
$40,000 - $45,813
