Job Description
Ortega Dental is a growing team looking for a new enthusiastic team member! We are looking for a new full time assistant. The ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience. We are a patient focused practice. Attention to detail and very high end customer service skills are a must. We will train you to use all the current technology we have, so no previous experience is required. Pay is based on experience. Spanish is a plus!
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for dental procedures- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments- Take and develop dental X-rays- Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care- Maintain accurate patient records- Perform various office tasks as needed
Qualifications- Certificate or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program- X-Ray certification- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures- Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, and medical imaging is a plus- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques
