Job Description
Our pediatric dental office is looking to add a warm, bubbly dental assistant to our team. We are a private practice located in beautiful Vineyard, UT. We have a wonderful doctor and staff that enjoy providing excellent patient care and a fun, energectic enviorment to our patients and team.
Our ideal candidate has at least 1 year dental assisting experience. Is very entergetic, positive and enjoys having fun and providing exceptional care. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a desire to learn is a must! Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments- Take dental x-rays- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and update patient records in the electronic medical documentation system (Open Dental)- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring impressions and trimming models- Schedule patient appointments- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- 1 year dental assisting experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)- X-ray certification required (can be completed upon hire)- Experience working with Open Dental software is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
