Job Description
Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This role primarily involves back-office responsibilities, supporting the dentist during procedures, managing patient care, and maintaining an efficient clinical workflow. Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software and prior experience in a dental office are essential.
Clinical Support:
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing instruments and materials.
Assist the dentist during procedures, including restorative, surgical, and preventive treatments.
Take and develop X-rays and intraoral images, ensuring high-quality diagnostic standards.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in Eaglesoft.
Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
Patient Care:
Greet and seat patients, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for procedures.
Take medical histories and update patient records.
Explain procedures and address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Lab and Equipment Management:
Handle dental materials, including impressions, models, and temporary restorations.
Perform routine maintenance on clinical equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Maintain strict compliance with infection control and OSHA protocols.
Administrative Support (as needed):
Enter treatment details and clinical notes in Eaglesoft.
Coordinate lab cases and follow up on ordered materials.
Support front-office staff with scheduling or patient communication during downtime.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
RDA Certification is required
Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software is required.
Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor with strong communication skills.
