Job Summary
We are looking for a part-time hygienist who can work two to three days a week.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high quality dental hygiene care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting optimal oral health. The role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability work collaboratively with the team.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and flossing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments.
Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.
Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and relevant coding practices to facilitate effective communication within the office.

Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential.
Familiarity with Open Dental software system is advantageous.
Strong understanding of medical coding and terminology related to dental practices.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care are critical for success in this role.
