Summary:
Davis and Wine Dental Practice is looking for a Dental Hygienist for 2-4 days a week in our SC locations. The perfect candidate will be able to complete all preventive care appointments and chart conditions of decay as prescribed by Dentist. Pay is between $40-45 per hour plus our bonus system. Bonus system varies anywhere from $300-500 every two weeks.
Responsibilities:
* Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis.
* Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
* Maintain instruments by sharpening and sterilizing.
* Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening.
* Collect medical and dental histories from patients.
* Chart dental conditions in Dentrix Ascend based on dentist’s observations and evaluations.
* Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care.
* Take X-rays with Dentrix Ascend.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor’s preferred) Current state license required
3+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist
Excellent verbal communication skills
Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Current CPR certification required
Infection Control
Use of Dentrix Ascend
