Job Description

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of oral diseases, while also educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatments.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong skills in patient assessment and care, with an emphasis on building rapport with patients.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft, is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence in clinical tasks.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
