Position Overview:
We are seeking a Dental Insurance Verification Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in dental insurance to manage and verify insurance coverage for our patients. This role is integral to ensuring timely and accurate insurance verification, preventing billing delays, and maintaining a positive relationship with insurance providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Verification: Verify and validate patient insurance information prior to appointments, ensuring accurate coverage details and eligibility.
Benefit Confirmation: Confirm benefits, including coverage limitations, co-pays, and treatment authorizations, and communicate findings clearly to the dental team.
Pre-Authorization: Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures that require insurance approval.
Insurance Communication: Proactively reach out to insurance providers and patients to clarify coverage details, resolve discrepancies, and answer any insurance-related questions.
Billing Coordination: Work with the billing team to ensure accurate claims submission and coding.
Patient Interaction: Provide clear and kind communication with patients regarding their insurance benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and financial responsibilities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized documentation in the patient management system for insurance verification, authorizations, and communications.
Ongoing Education: Stay current on industry changes, insurance policies, and reimbursement procedures to ensure the office is compliant and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dental insurance verification or a similar role in a dental office.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch discrepancies and ensure accuracy in all aspects of insurance verification.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance details to patients in a friendly and easy-to-understand manner.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Self-Starter: Proactive and independent, able to take initiative and solve problems efficiently without constant supervision.
Team Fit: A kind, positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a high-performing, dynamic team.
Technology Proficiency: Experience with dental management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Competitive hourly pay ($18 - $24 per hour, depending on experience).
Full-time, Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm schedule.
