Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services and support the overall dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and vital signs monitoring.
Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide high-quality patient care.
Stay updated on the latest dental technologies, techniques, and best practices in the field.
Requirements
Valid Hawaii Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and systems related to oral health.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
