Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Take digital dental x-rays along with use of a digital intra-oral scanner- Educate patients on proper oral healthcare and treatment needed- Maintain accurate patient records; assist in scheduling
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software- Knowledge of dental receptionist duties- Ability to perform patient assessments and use electronic health record systems- Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent infection- Competence in managing medical records and coding procedures- Strong background in dental assisting techniques - ability to fabricate chair side temporary crowns, use of intra-oral scanners, and great patient communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
