```Duties```- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth and gums, removing plaque and calculus, and applying fluoride treatments- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history review and oral health evaluations- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments, suctioning, and charting- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic dental records system (Dentrix Ascend)- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
```Qualifications```- Valid state dental hygiene license- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assistance and instrument sterilization- Excellent patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify oral health issues and recommend appropriate treatment plans- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic medical documentation procedures- Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $85.00 per hour
